Position Summary:

Motivates, coaches and communicates with team to exceed day-to-day productivity, quality and safety objectives to ensure delivery of finished goods to customers and consumers. Responsible for monitoring daily quality and performance metrics and executing day-to-day work assignments consistent with team needs and daily schedules. Complies data and trends for through put analysis. Conducts Associate training when needed. This position will work diligently with other functional leaders to ensure product is at the right place at the right time with a focus on speed to shelf, quality, and value. Execute a systemic and sustainable process to deliver a best in class customer and consumer experience. Additional responsibilities include various inventory maintenance tasks as established in the PRADCO DC Standard Operating Procedures, Flow-To-Work Procedures and Standard Work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Executes and supervises using a lean philosophy while monitoring compliance of departmental metrics.
  • Works with leadership to process daily orders based on priorities. Relays information and instruction to team regarding daily assignments and tasks.
  • Monitors the effectiveness of systems, policies and procedures and makes appropriate suggestions to ensure daily operations are efficient.
  • Responsible for on boarding new associates including Package Labeling, Quality Control/Manifest, RF Picking, LEAN, Receiving and Lift Driving and Safety Training.
  • Responsible for expediting orders to meet customer ship dates/request.
  • Responsible for accurately pulling and verifying products from proper bin location using automated equipment.
  • Complies data and presents to management for trending and root cause analysis.
  • Keep managers informed as to employee and product needs to maximize efficiency.
  • Examines outgoing product to ensure customer specifications are met.
  • Ensures workload is completed on time.
  • Responsible for reporting any discrepancies such as shortages, overages, damages and incorrect items shipped.
  • Perform and/or assist with quality inspections for audits.
  • Follow Standard Work and Standard Operating Procedures and guidelines for quality initiatives.
  • Provide shipping quotes and processes freight claims
  • Supports efforts to deliver a culture where people work together as knowledgeable, productive and motivated team members.
  • Maintain a clean work environment.
  • Observe all safety rules.
  • Wear proper protective equipment as required.
  • May inventory materials on work floor and supply workers with materials as needed.
  • May weigh materials or products and record weight on tags, labels, or production schedules.
  • May load or unload materials onto or off of pallets, skids, platforms, lifting devices, or other transport vehicles and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.
  • Ensures timely activity, integration, productivity and efficient use of resources.
  • Meet project deliverables by meeting production rates and deadlines.

  • Carry out other duties, responsibilities and projects as assigned, in an effective and efficient manner.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in leading high performance teams in a Distribution Center, Inventory Management, Transportation or logistics, work environment.
  • Must be able to work overtime as required.

Other Skills Needed:

  • A background in the consumer packaged goods/sporting goods industries.
  • Knowledge and usage of ERP systems. Experience with Infor/Lawson M3 and/or Forte preferred.
  • Previous logistics experience.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
